Originally founded in January of 1936, the Sears Memphis Employees Federal Credit Union began with a mere 7 members to serve the employees of Sears Roebuck and Company in Memphis, Tennessee. Today, after more than 70 years of service, the Sears Federal Credit Union boasts more than 2,700 members in nine states and assets of more than $28 million. Although some things have changed over the years, one remains the same - the founding principle of credit unions worldwide "people helping people". As a "not-for-profit" institution, our only purpose is to help you find better ways to save and borrow money. We provide excellent service to our members and have been awarded the Bauer Financial Reports' highest rating (5 Stars) designating us as one of the most financially sound credit unions in the country.
